There is a date on the side of the bottle label. The pour is dark brown with a fluffy looking khaki head. Correct away I notice a strong & effluvious coffee on the nose & gustatory modality follows suit. The oatmeal component to this beer adds a flossy texture that coats my mouth simply like a hot & frothy cappuccino drink on a cold winter's dark. Cheers B

Pours a nighttime dark-brown with a most non existant mocha head. Lots of carbonation.
Nice aroma of sweet carmel malt, slight carmel and vanilla.
Very sugariness taste. Carmel malt, slight baker'south chocolate. Very slight bitterness.
Experience. Sparse, over carbonated.
Much better than anticipating.

If y'all similar coffee and espresso store this is a neat beverage. The cappuccino is agree while the oatmeal is mild. Easy to eat without food. With food, it would demand to be sweets.
Total bodied but non filling. Was actually impressed for being a blue moon.

It really tastes like cappuccino at get-go with a stout aftertaste. Very squeamish.

Smashing, but non sure I could accept more than one. I actually get the coffee flavour coming through. Color is good, simply the head disappeared quickly and at that place seems to exist no lacing at all. All in all, information technology's okay, but I've had much ameliorate stouts.

In the Law of Unintended Consequences, The Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody is enabling me to deport a buncha brewery horizontals (same brewery, unlike beers) & today are Blue Moon offerings! This will be my penultimate for this horizontal.
From the bottle: "Brewed with Decaf Coffee & Oats for a Creamy Mouthfeel".
Grrr. My patience runs sparse with these screwed-up screw-meridian bottles! The simply matter that makes drinking a beer from a canteen as opposed to a Can is performing the Pop! of the cap & I was beingness cheated of even that. My acrimony manifested itself in the in-glass swirl which created 2 fingers of foamy, rocky, calorie-free-tan head that resembled the foam in the loving cup on the label.
Man, I call up getting turned onto cappuccino during a deployment to La Maddalena, Sardinia in 1985. That, the little, brusque stogies chosen "Republic of guinea Stinkers" & bocce. I used to play every Sunday that I had off nether the tutelage of Giuseppe, a native who saw me at an outdoor café & took me under his wing. When everybody else was boozer & hung over on Mon, I was just jazzed up on caffeine, tobacco & the wad of Lira in my pocket from winning. He was a Zen principal at bocce & I still use his strategy when invited to play. But, every bit usual, I digress ...
Color was Dark Chocolate-brown to Very Dark Brown (SRM = > 27, < 34) with NE-quality clarity. Olfactory organ had a sharpness that I may or may not have identified on my own equally coffee, but it was definitely pungent. Mouthfeel was a bit thin & watery for a Stout, plus I was not getting the creaminess that the oatmeal was supposed to impart. The taste had a coffee-similar bitterness, just it felt somehow muted, perhaps by the oats, mayhap past the malts. I only felt like it needed to be amped upwardly, fifty-fifty past but a little chip. Finish was dry out, definitely non a Sugariness Stout. It was a decent enough drinkable, but it really did non make me remember that it was cappuccino. YMMV.

Looks like root beer gone apartment. There was a prissy initial head of tight pocket-sized Brownish bubbling simply they disappear immediately with no lacing. Smell had some chocolate and nice coffee. Gustatory modality was a Huge and pleasant surprise. Smooth cocoa coffee chocolate vanilla and mayhap a little sweetness... root beer... on the dorsum. Felt pretty thin especially for a stout. Will drinkable again. 12 pack of bottles was a steal at local store which led me to expect little. Not exactly a flossy stout but the taste was definitely proficient on my palate.

A: Night brown virtually opaque, i/ii inch khaki head that dissipates apace, no lacing to speak of
S: Coffee, chocolate
T: Sugariness, I become the coffee and chocolate, no hops
M: Medium to Heavy
O: I usually dont like Blue Moon other than the original Belgian White but they accept made a few here lately that I am digging. This is a dainty coffee stout that is non setting the world on fire simply is a decent craft offering. Kudos to them for branching out and doing a good job!

Pretty good I take to say I'm pleasantly surprised. Picked up a 12-pack at the convenience shop next door considering I didn't feel similar driving for some beer. I wasn't expecting much because it'south blue moon but a coffee oatmeal stout sounded perfect so fuck it correct?
This beer has impressive coffee and vanilla notes that do a good job as coming off counterbalanced and natural. If the option you're presented is lackluster grab this for sure!
